With the All-Stars announced for the 2010 game in Los Angeles, we can now call some of the rumoured players, ie: Jose Bautista an All-Star trade rumour.
Cliff Lee pitched an absolute gem against the Tigers on Sunday, but for now, is still a Mariner. Seattle is asking for the house, which is to be expected, and no deal is on the verge of being announced as of yet.
*New* Jon Heyman of Sports Illustrated reports that the Twins may have had discussions (serious discussions) with the Mariners for Lee. Stay tuned.
One rumour that was new today was the Tigers interest in the D'Backs SS Stephen Drew. With names like LaRoche, Johnson and Haren most likely to be dealt, Drew might be the player to leave?
The Reds are still looking for a starter, and people around Ohio are wondering if Cliff Lee is a fit in exchange for prospect 1B Yonder Alonso. The name and the idea keep poping up in runours so maybe their is some truth after all.
Take Kevin Millwood's name off the "wanted list". After his outing Monday in Detroit (1 IP, 4 H, 5 ER, 2 BB, 1 K) there is concern of a injury and teams have backed off as of now.
The Astros and Lance Berkman cut ties in the next couple of weeks
The Blue Jays will start to decide if Brett Wallace or C J.P Arencibia are being called up soon
The Yankees will add some depth to their bench as Ty Wigginton, an All-Star has been talked about.
Mariners P Cliff Lee will be dealt, but the idea of the Reds is interesting. Something may happen here, when will the Reds be in this position again?
