Beckett to miss next start; Halladay will face Jays in Phily

The Red Sox are starting to deal with the injury bug again, as Josh Beckett is expected to miss his next scheduled start Friday vs the Tigers.  No word on when he may make his next start, but the team had already moved him from his original start Wednesday vs the Blue Jays.

The Red Sox are without OF Jacoby Ellsbury (chest), Mike Cameron (kidney stones), P Boof Bonser (groin) and SS Jed Lowrie (Mononucleosis)

Astros OF Michael Bourn has been suspended 2 games by MLB for making contact with an umpire Saturday vs the Padres

The Blue Jays had to move their series vs the Phillies June 25-27 due to security reasons from the G20 Summit.  Blue Jays fans will now miss the chance to see P Roy Halladay, who was scheduled to pitched Friday June 25th vs the Jays.  The games will be played in Philadelphia with the Jays being the home team for the series.

*with the Phillies postponed game Tuesday; Halladay is now scheduled to pitch Saturday June 26th vs the Jays

The Braves will retire the number 47 for Tom Glavine at a ceremony August 6 vs the Giants.

The Twins placed SS J.J. Hardy on the 15-day DL with a wrsit injury; they recalled Matt Tolbert from Rochester (AAA) to take his roster spot.

The Brewers OF Ryan Braun is out of the the lineup with a elbow injury suffered last night; stay tuned for any updates.
